Kids in ECoSistema programs were invited to participate in soundcheck with the famous Preservation Hall Jazz Band before a performance in November at Goshen College.

We at ECoSistema — “Elkhart County El Sistema” Music Initiative — are pleased and honored to announce our program has been chosen for a $10,000 matching grant from the Banchik Family Foundation in Los Angeles. Howard Banchik is the board chair of the Harmony Project, and chose to support our program along with a select few others across the country by matching community donations dollar for dollar up to $10,000 this December.

This means you can donate any amount you like — fully tax-deductible as a contribution to Horizon Education Alliance, a 501(c)3 nonprofit — and your gift will have twice the impact! Your gift will enable us to continue building upon the progress we and our partners have made offering musical education to children at the Boys & Girls Club in Goshen and local schools including Roosevelt STEAM Academy in Elkhart and Prairie View Elementary School in Goshen.
